Solutions Engineer, APAC

At Linear, we're building the product development system for teams and agents. AI is fundamentally changing how software gets built, and we’re shaping the tools this new era requires. Founded in 2019, Linear has become the platform of choice for more than 50,000 companies (including OpenAI, Coinbase, and Ramp) to plan, build, and ship their products. Today, our team is distributed across North America, Europe, and Australia, and we’re continuing to grow internationally. What unites us is relentless focus, fast execution, and a deep care for software craftsmanship. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical partner for our most strategic prospects and customers in the APAC region. You’ll play a dual role: driving complex technical engagements through end-to-end demos, migrations, and integrations, and accelerating ramp for new sales hires by codifying best practices. You will showcase our product’s value to prospects, uncover challenges and architect tailored solutions, drive successful sales evaluations, and champion customer needs internally. Location & work mode While Linear is a remote-first company across the US and Europe, this role in APAC is office based 2–3 days per week, as this role will be closely connected to in-person collaboration with our growing sales presence in the region. What you’ll do - Articulate Linear’s architecture, data model, and integration patterns to engineering and product teams; deliver tailored technical presentations and deep-dive demos for key stakeholders. - Design, plan, and execute large-scale migrations, custom configurations, and API integrations; troubleshoot proactively to ensure seamless onboarding. - Build and maintain realistic demo instances that mirror enterprise workflows, scale tests, and feature toggles—enabling sales reps to showcase Linear’s capabilities in context. - Collaborate with Sales Enablement to develop technical training materials, run “train-the-trainer” sessions for new hires, and curate a library of exemplar solution playbooks. - Act as the go-to technical resource for high-priority accounts; work alongside Customer Success to resolve post-sale technical issues and drive adoption. What we’re looking for - 8+ years in a Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a high-growth SaaS company, with experience supporting enterprise-scale deals. - Strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations, and product integrations - Excellent communication skills—able to present complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and executives - Experience with Github and git; Linear and/or Jira strongly preferred - Proven ability to build realistic, scalable demo environments and troubleshoot production issues - CS degree or engineering background strongly preferred - Collaborative mindset with experience partnering across Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams - Comfort with SQL and scripting (e.g., Python or JavaScript) What we offer We're a small, focused team that cares deeply about the quality of our work and the people we do it with. Here's what you can expect: - Competitive salary and equity - Employee-friendly equity terms including early exercise in the US and extended exercise windows - Daily meal and coffee stipend on every workday - Paid co-working space or desk - Health coverage (based on country requirements) - 5 weeks paid vacation, plus local statutory holidays - 4 months paid parental leave - Paid month off after 4 years & every 2 years thereafter - Regular team events and off-sites Learn how we think and work - Read Me https://linear.app/readme a story about our mission - How we work: Designing remote work at Linear https://linear.app/now/designing-remote-work-at-linear - Why and how we do work trials https://linear.app/blog/why-and-how-we-do-work-trials-at-linear Linear blog post - How we use AI in design https://designerfund.substack.com/p/ai-design-linear feature of Linear's design team - Scaling our real-time sync engine https://linear.app/blog/scaling-the-linear-sync-engine talk by our cofounder, Tuomas Artman, at Linear's 2023 offsite - A video series: Conversations on Quality https://linear.app/quality - Our recent tender offer: Sharing Linear’s growth with the people building it https://linear.app/now/sharing-growth-with-the-people-building-linear Linear is an equal opportunity employer.
