JOB TITLE: DOG WALKER ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about dogs, enjoys being outdoors in all types of weather, and has strong communication skills. You’ll support our lead dog walker by assisting with individual and group walks, ensuring the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care, and providing exceptional service to our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with walking dogs in various neighborhoods, parks, and trails.
- Monitor and manage the behavior of multiple dogs, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Handle leashes, harnesses, and other equipment appropriately.
- Communicate with the lead dog walker about each dog’s behavior, needs, and any incidents during walks.
- Clean up after dogs and maintain a tidy walking environment.
- Provide water, treats, and basic grooming as directed.
- Follow all company and client guidelines regarding pet care.
REQUIREMENTS
- Genuine love for dogs and experience handling them (professional or personal).
- Ability to walk and care for multiple dogs at once.
- Physically fit and able to spend extended periods walking outdoors in any weather.
- Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.
- Must have flexible availability, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
