Account Executive, South Korea

ABOUT AIRWALLEX Airwallex is the AI-native financial operating system for a real-time, intelligent economy. More than 675,000 businesses, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok, use us, directly or through our platform partners, to run their financial operations or build and monetize financial products of their own. We started in Melbourne in 2015 to build the infrastructure global commerce runs on. We're the regulated backbone behind global payments: not by accident, but by design. A decade plus, 85+ licenses, and a financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. We're co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with more than 2,700 people across 27 offices. We hire builders with founder-level energy, people who move fast with good judgment, dig in with real curiosity, and make calls from first principles rather than waiting to be told what to do. The SME & Growth sales team is where this partnership begins. Your primary focus will be bringing on new customers within South Korea’s trading and distribution ecosystem—authorized distributors, trading houses, and channel partners—and leveraging your skills in pitching, negotiating, and driving internal processes to set up our partnerships for success. We are looking for someone who has a passion for building relationships, selling, and negotiating, and a desire to revolutionise the way companies transact globally. If you have a customer-first mentality, are solution-focused, obsessively curious about everything, and have the desire to make an impact and grow yourself, our market, and our customers, then you have found your calling. With the commission structure for this role, there is a significant upside for won opportunities. If you’re hungry, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, we want to hear from you! WHAT YOU'LL DO The Outbound team at Airwallex Korea brings Korean businesses onto Airwallex through targeted, direct outreach. In this role, you'll partner with established, high-growth Korean businesses taking their next step overseas, winning new customers across e-commerce and consumer brands (including K-beauty and cosmetics), manufacturing, and digital technology. You'll own each deal end to end, from first outreach to go-live and revenue ramp-up. Your ideas will help shape how we grow in Korea. RESPONSIBILITIES - Build and run an outbound pipeline targeting key decision-makers across e-commerce, manufacturing, and digital technology. - Run targeted, multi-channel outbound prospecting, tailored by industry and account, with a focus on quality and conversion over volume. - Work with Marketing to plan industry events and run our booths, and attend other relevant conferences to engage prospects directly. - Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, crafting solutions across multi-currency accounts, FX, and payments to solve customers' cross-border finance challenges. - Engage and influence multiple decision-makers within each customer, from finance leads to the C-suite, and lead pricing and contract negotiations through to close. - Own onboarding and ramp-up through go-live, so closed deals turn into live, revenue-generating accounts. - Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts, and collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to accelerate customer outcomes. WHO YOU ARE - 4+ years of B2B sales experience, with a track record of consistently exceeding sales targets. - Full-cycle sales experience winning new B2B customers in Korea, from building your own pipeline through outbound to closing the deal. - A consultative approach: you understand the customer's business first, then recommend a solution that fits it. - Experience leading commercial negotiations, including pricing and contract terms, and closing deals that go through multiple sales stages. - A proactive mindset: you take ownership of your results, share ideas with the team, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working at a start-up or a fast-paced company. - Selling experience in e-commerce and consumer brands (especially K-beauty and cosmetics), manufacturing, digital technology (e.g., SaaS, AI, gaming), or entertainment. - Direct selling experience with multiple decision-makers within one customer, from finance leads to the C-suite. - Experience selling to complex customers through tailored, customer-specific proposals and formal evaluation processes. - Familiarity with payments, FX, or other cross-border financial products. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE - A steady, outbound-generated pipeline across our target industries. - Targeted outreach and event engagement converted into closed-won customers. - New customers live quickly and ramped to meaningful transaction volume. - Consistent delivery against ambitious growth targets, plus ideas that sharpen how we approach new industries in Korea. 국문 버전 ABOUT THE TEAM Airwallex는 전 세계에서 가장 야심 찬 기업들과 파트너십을 맺는 것을 목표로 합니다.
