Toast is building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: running the businesses they love. We’ve grown into a leading hospitality software company in the U.S., and are now entering our next phase of growth—one defined by scale, complexity, and a new class of enterprise customers.
As our customers grow, so do the demands on our platform. Operators who once managed a handful of locations are rapidly expanding, while new enterprise brands are adopting Toast to power increasingly complex operations. Supporting this evolution requires more robust, enterprise-grade capabilities.
Within this space, we’re looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Partner Connect team. In this role, you’ll guide a team delivering high-impact features that directly shape the experience of every Toast customer. You’ll be responsible not just for what the team builds, but how it builds—driving clarity, improving execution, and maintaining a high bar for quality. Your team will own the frameworks to manage integrations with Toast for all our partners and customers. You will work with the team to help build a feature rich, consistent, unified experience for anyone who wishes to connect to Toasts APIs, consume our data and integrate with restaurants. You will also play a role in evolving our architecture to support ever more complex new features and best-in-class monitoring as we scale to orders of magnitude of our current size!
You’re someone who enjoys developing engineers and building strong, collaborative teams. You connect day-to-day work to broader outcomes, helping your team understand the impact of what they’re building while identifying opportunities to deliver more effectively. You bring enough technical depth to provide clear direction and sound judgment, while still empowering engineers to take ownership.
Day to day, your work will span reviewing design documents and pull requests, facilitating cross-team discussions, partnering with product and architecture on roadmaps, and supporting your team’s growth through regular 1:1s and feedback.
Join us to shape a critical domain that touches every Toast customer.
