Senior Product Manager - VCR

Join Vonage and help us innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide! Vonage Communications APIs: As an emerging leader in the $10B+ communications API market, we empower global brands to connect better with their customers, employees, and partners through transformative communications experiences. For example, Vonage API solutions empower organizations to build their custom omnichannel communications structure. This allows them to reach and engage customers on their preferred schedule and channel — including voice, video, and messaging. Think of a rideshare service instantly connecting with customers, hospital staff conducting remote monitoring, customers verifying their identity before completing a purchase, AI virtual agents servicing customers around the clock, and much more. Why this role matters: Vonage Cloud Runtime (VCR) is a serverless developer platform that lets enterprise customers, internal solution teams, and strategic partners build and deploy communication applications — without managing infrastructure. Think of it as the engine behind Vonage's ability to deliver managed solutions at scale: it powers Connectors (Salesforce, HubSpot, MoEngage, Okta), enables CSP partnerships (Deutsche Telekom, Optus), and supports enterprise customers across retail, healthcare, BFSI, and telco. VCR has validated product-market fit and is now at a critical inflection point - transitioning from Beta to General Availability, and a strategic roadmap toward an AI enablement layer. This is a rare opportunity to own a platform product end-to-end: from closing GA readiness gaps and redesigning the pricing model, to defining how AI-powered communication workflows get built on top of Vonage infrastructure. You'll be the dedicated PM for Cloud Runtime — the primary product voice across engineering, sales, and customers — joining a team of 3 PMs (growing to 5) with direct access to leadership and real ownership from day one. sales, and customers. Your key responsibilities: Product strategy and roadmap • Own the Cloud Runtime vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with company priorities and 2026 OKRs. • Lead the transition from Beta to GA, identifying gaps in product readiness, usability, reliability, and adoption. • Prioritize initiatives based on customer needs, business impact, and technical considerations. AI enablement • Define the product direction for an AI enablement layer on top of Cloud Runtime. • Explore how developers and enterprise customers can build AI-powered communication workflows, intelligent solutions, and orchestration capabilities. • Work with engineering and other stakeholders to turn emerging use cases into a clear product roadmap. Pricing and commercial development • Lead the evolution from fixed-tier subscriptions towards usage-based pricing suited to a serverless platform. • Work with engineering and commercial teams on cost models, usage measurement, billing, and packaging. • Balance customer value, platform economics, and business growth. Working with engineering • Partner with engineers to translate product goals into clear requirements and delivery priorities. • Develop a practical understanding of the platform's capabilities, constraints, and trade-offs, including its cloud and runtime architecture. • Help teams resolve blockers, align technical work with product outcomes, and maintain delivery momentum. Customer and developer experience • Engage with enterprise customers, telecom partners, and internal solution teams to understand their needs and validate product direction. • Improve developer onboarding, integration, activation, and adoption. • Use customer feedback and product data to identify opportunities for improvement. Product execution and market positioning • Own product requirements, business cases, release readiness, security and privacy coordination, and KPI reporting. • Monitor market developments across communications platforms and cloud-native serverless products. • Identify opportunities to differentiate Cloud Runtime and strengthen its position in the market. What you'll bring Required: • 5+ years of product management experience in infrastructure, developer platforms, or API products • Strong understanding of serverless computing and cloud platforms - direct experience with AWS Lambda, Twilio Functions, or similar is a strong advantage • Proven ability to work deeply with engineering teams, not just at feature level - comfortable discussing architectural tradeoffs, scalability, and runtime constraints • Experience driving developer adoption, activation, or platform onboarding improvements • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns Experience we consider a plus: • CPaaS or communications API background (voice, messaging, WhatsApp, SMS) • Experience with usage-based or consumption pricing models • Marketplace or partner ecosystem experience • Engineering or solution architecture background • Experience with Jira, SQL/Kibana, Confluence How you’ll benefit: • Unlimited Discretionary Time Off. • Private Medical Insurance with the option to add dependents at your own cost. • Multisport Gym Membership. • Educational Assistance Reimbursement Program. • Polish Language Classes for non-native speakers. • Lunch and Learn Sessions. • Opportunity to be reimbursed for conferences, trainings, and other events consistent with the area of work aimed at personal development. • Three Paid Volunteer Days a Year. • Reimbursement for the costs of prescription glasses. • Maternity and Paternity Leave. #LI-WW1 There’s no perfect candidate.
