At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive.
Lyft is seeking a seasoned Internal Communications leader to set and own communications strategy for key areas of the business. This person will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders and a go-to communications expert on business priorities. They'll bring those leaders' priorities company-wide through narratives that deliver on our business objectives and further our purpose, vision, and values.
Lyft is telling a transformation story about global growth, and we aim to deliver strategies that enable our teams to move at lightning speed. Great communications create focus and alignment, so teams spend less time resolving confusion and more time executing with clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making. To be successful in this role, this individual will allocate their efforts as follows:
• 30% Strategy: Independently identify high-impact opportunities and set the communications roadmap that moves the business forward.
• 40% Rhythm of the Business: Lead execution of communications strategies and programs.
• 30% Unexpected: Lead rapid response, crisis communications, and change management.
We're looking for someone who earns the trust of senior leaders quickly, brings a point of view, and isn't afraid to push back. This individual should be a strategic thinker and a strong writer, comfortable moving between the big picture and the details, and energized by ambiguity. Most importantly, Lyft is about fostering an open, inclusive, and diverse community where all team members are recognized for what they bring, and we want you to be you.
