Senior/ Lead AI Deployment Engineer - Supply Chain

Celonis is the trusted platform to industrialize Enterprise AI. At our core is the Celonis Context Model — which combines process data, business knowledge, and intelligence into a living digital twin of the enterprise that AI can actually understand, turning AI's operational blind spots into operational clarity. World's leading companies trust Celonis and its global ecosystem of partners to make their AI agents, people, systems, and processes work together, achieving transformational outcomes. We believe there's a massive opportunity to unlock global productivity and sustainability by giving AI the context to understand how every business process really works. Join our mission to make processes work for people, companies, and the planet. The Team Celonis Services is the delivery engine of our Celonis Customer Organization, responsible for turning the Celonis platform into measurable, business-critical outcomes for our customers. In the AI era, our role has elevated: as AI agents like our own Apollo take on more of the technical build, our people focus on the work that drives real impact—understanding our customers' business-critical problems, designing the solutions that solve them, and quantifying the value delivered. Our Deployment Engineers and Deployment Architects pair deep domain and industry expertise with strong platform expertise and AI-augmented delivery, directing agentic systems while owning the judgment, architecture, and customer relationships that AI cannot replace. We deliver faster and smarter than ever, and we own the outcome: solution go-live, solution adoption, initial value realization support and the long-term success of our customers. The Role As a Senior/ Lead Deployment Engineer, you are the hands-on owner of Celonis delivery for your customers. You run the engagement end to end —understanding the business challenge, designing and building the solution on the platform, driving its adoption, and quantifying the value it delivers. What sets the role apart is the depth you bring —platform mastery, domain & process insight, and the customer relationships— that turn a working solution into business-critical value. Celonis's AI tooling accelerates the build, so your time goes to the solution design, the customer, and the outcome. The Work You’ll Do • Run discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into high-impact Celonis use cases. • Build and configure the analytical core on the platform—data models, process analyses, and dashboards —directing Celonis's AI deployment tooling to move fast and validating every output for accuracy and business relevance. • Lead value workshops to pinpoint root causes of process inefficiencies and define the KPIs that quantify business impact. • Design and deploy the operational solutions —automations, action flows, and AI-powered insights— that put the platform to work in users' day-to-day decisions. • Present business cases to senior (VP- and C-level) stakeholders and secure their sign-off on the value realization plan. • Drive adoption: Enable key users to run and extend the solution independently, and document design decisions for a clean handover. • Manage delivery against timeline, scope, and customer expectations. • Act as a subject-matter expert in pre-sales, helping shape and scope engagements (approach, solution blueprint, and effort estimates). What Makes This Role Different in the AI Era • You work with AI agents as your primary tools - You set the direction while AI agents do the heavy lifting of the build—bringing the intent, context, and judgment that make the output right for the customer. • You turn ambiguous business needs into precise, executable intent—the specification and context engineering craft that most separates great delivery from average. • You work at the frontier, experimenting as the tools evolve, finding what works, and raising the bar for the whole team. • You build to last—AI reaches a first result in minutes, and you make sure what ships is robust, intuitive, and ready to scale. The Qualifications You Need • Supply Chain Experience: 4+ years in Management, IT or data consulting, or process improvement consulting within software vendors. For Senior DE: 6+ years with demonstrated project leadership. • Systems fluency: Hands-on familiarity with the systems where supply chain runs: SAP (MM/SD/PP, S/4HANA, APO/IBP) or equivalents such as Oracle, Kinaxis, o9, or Blue Yonder. • Data & technical skills: Deep data fluency: proficiency in SQL and Python, strong data-modelling skills, and ease turning large, complex datasets into an analysis-ready foundation. You reason about data structurally, with an instinct for relationships, granularity, and data quality. Prior hands-on experience with Celonis is a plus. • AI fluency: Curiosity and comfort using AI-assisted tools in your work (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.), and the willingness to keep learning as they evolve. Experience with prompt engineering or context engineering is a strong plus. • Business and process expertise : Strong understanding / deep expertise (based on seniority level) of enterprise Supply Chain processes and performance metrics. • Analytical mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with a value-driven orientation. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and quantify business impact. • Consulting & communication: Ability to steer customer workshops, present to management, manage expectations, and deliver through ambiguity—equally at ease with technical and business audiences. • Languages: Professional fluency in French and English is required. • Education: Master’s in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field. • Travel: Attend client sites for high-impact workshops, key alignment sessions and strategic events (primarily based in Paris, typically 2–3 days per month).
