Software Engineer, GTM Growth Engineering

About the Team GTM Growth Engineering builds AI-native products and systems that help OpenAI's go-to-market and B2B marketing organizations operate with greater speed, focus, and leverage. Our mandate is revenue leverage: products tied directly to pipeline quality, customer engagement, seller and marketer productivity, and the speed at which OpenAI can bring its technology to customers. We build the infrastructure and user experiences behind high-impact GTM workflows, including customer context, prioritization, routing, campaign execution, review surfaces, feedback loops, and measurement. Our work combines product craft, applied AI, reliable systems, and thoughtful operational design. About the Role We’re looking for a product-minded Software Engineer to build AI-powered products and full-stack experiences for GTM Growth Engineering. You will own meaningful product slices end to end, from user experience and frontend implementation to backend APIs, integrations, data models, instrumentation, and launch readiness. This is a role for engineers who want to build products that do real work in production. You will partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Sales, B2B Marketing, and operations teams to understand high-value workflows and ship systems that improve customer engagement, pipeline, conversion, and team productivity. The role is ideal for a strong product engineer who can move between product craft, systems engineering, applied AI, and measurable business outcomes. You should be excited to build from ambiguous problem statements, ship quickly, and improve products based on real user feedback. What You'll Do - Build AI-powered products and workflows that help sales and B2B marketing teams identify opportunities, coordinate work, and engage customers more effectively. - Own full-stack product experiences from prototype through launch, instrumentation, iteration, and production hardening. - Design intuitive user journeys that combine polished interfaces, reliable services, structured data, and practical AI capabilities. - Create product surfaces that help humans review, supervise, and improve automated or AI-assisted workflows. - Build reliable frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal tools and business systems. - Use telemetry, qualitative feedback, and product metrics to understand adoption, friction, quality, and business impact. - Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Sales, B2B Marketing, operations, and other GTM stakeholders. - Translate ambiguous customer and operational problems into clear product requirements, pragmatic technical decisions, and working software. - Make thoughtful tradeoffs across speed, product quality, accessibility, reliability, privacy, safety, and operational simplicity. What We're Looking For - 4+ years of experience as a software, product, or full-stack engineer building high-quality, user-facing products. - Strong frontend or full-stack engineering skills, with comfort across modern web applications, APIs, data models, and stateful user experiences. - Strong product judgment and a track record of turning ambiguous ideas into shipped, useful products. - Experience building in 0-to-1 or fast-moving environments where user needs, product shape, and success metrics are still evolving. - Excitement about applying AI thoughtfully to real workflows and building products that help people do better work. - A high bar for UX quality, interaction details, accessibility, reliability, and user empathy. - The ability to use product data, qualitative feedback, and experimentation to identify friction and improve outcomes. - Clear written and verbal communication, especially when explaining technical tradeoffs to cross-functional partners. - Sound judgment when building products that touch customer data, business processes, and important operational decisions. You Might Thrive If - You want to build products that have a visible impact on revenue, customer engagement, and how GTM teams operate. - You are excited by products where people, data, and AI work together in real operational workflows. - You like discovering the right product direction through shipping, measurement, and iteration. - You can move between prototype speed and production-quality engineering without losing sight of the user. - You enjoy working closely with non-engineering partners and turning domain expertise into clear product experiences. - You are energized by applied AI, growth systems, B2B marketing, sales workflows, and products that help teams operate more effectively. - You have strong opinions about product craft but adapt quickly as evidence and user feedback come in. Nice to Have - Experience building GTM, sales, B2B marketing, growth, revenue, customer-support, or internal-product systems. - Experience building AI-powered applications, agent-assisted workflows, or products that integrate language models. - Experience with product analytics, experimentation, telemetry, feedback loops, or lightweight evaluation systems. - Experience building products where reliability, privacy, safety, human oversight, and customer trust matter. - Experience building product surfaces used by both individual contributors and organizations, including admin, reporting, or operational workflows.
