Recruiting
At Braze, we have found our people. We’re a genuinely approachable, exceptionally kind, and intensely passionate crew.
We seek to ignite that passion by setting high standards, championing teamwork, and creating work-life harmony as we collectively navigate rapid growth on a global scale while striving for greater equity and opportunity – inside and outside our organization.
To flourish here, you must be prepared to set a high bar for yourself and those around you. There is always a way to contribute: Acting with autonomy, having accountability and being open to new perspectives are essential to our continued success.
Our deep curiosity to learn and our eagerness to share diverse passions with others gives us balance and injects a one-of-a-kind vibrancy into our culture.
If you are driven to solve exhilarating challenges and have a bias toward action in the face of change, you will be empowered to make a real impact here, with a sharp and passionate team at your back. If Braze sounds like a place where you can thrive, we can’t wait to meet you.
We are seeking a high-potential Recruiter to help build and scale our APAC & Japan team. In this role, you will design and execute customized sourcing strategies, manage end-to-end recruitment pipelines, and serve as a trusted partner to local hiring managers for all talent acquisition needs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• End-to-End Talent Acquisition: Source, recruit, and hire top talent across our Japan teams — mainly GTM, but also spanning Technical roles and G&A — managing the candidate lifecycle from initial outreach to offer acceptance.
• Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand team priorities, define ideal candidate profiles, and implement best-in-class recruiting strategies.
• Candidate Evaluation & Debriefs: Screen candidates, facilitate post-interview debrief sessions, and guide hiring teams toward making data-driven hiring decisions.
• Pipeline Management & Market Insights: Maintain a strong pulse on SaaS/Tech hiring trends in Japan, leveraging both direct sourcing methods and agency relationships to build robust, scalable candidate talent pools.
• Broader Impact: Opportunities to support regional APAC recruiting initiatives and participate in cross-functional HR projects beyond talent acquisition in the future.
WHAT YOU HAVE
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience (agency or in-house).
• Bilingual Capability: Fluency in Japanese (native-level or equivalent) and professional working proficiency in English to engage with local candidates and communicate with global stakeholders.
• Growth Mindset & Curiosity: Eager to learn, open to feedback, and willing to try new approaches as the recruitment market evolves.
• Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to track and analyze recruiting metrics to resolve pipeline bottlenecks and contribute to broader recruitment strategies.
• Execution & Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience engaging with or supporting senior leadership is highly preferred. (does not need to be limited to recruiting contexts)
NICE TO HAVE / BONUS POINTS
• Experience using Greenhouse ATS or similar modern recruiting platforms.
• Experience recruiting within the SaaS / Cloud / Enterprise Technology industry.
