WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR This is a SaaS commercial sales leadership role, managing a team of Commercial Account Executives for Braze’s market-leading Customer Journey Orchestration platform. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping mid-market and fast-growing commercial brands communicate more effectively with their customers, building a high-velocity, winning team, and expanding our customer base. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of successful experience leading and developing a team of quota-carrying sellers in a high-growth, fast-paced, and competitive market. Your team will focus on the entire lifecycle relationship with mid-market and commercial accounts, requiring experience in driving predictable net-new business acquisition while nurturing and expanding existing accounts. As a front-line leader, you will bring strong commercial acumen, coach sellers through shorter and multi-threaded sales cycles, and participate directly in key prospect and customer engagements. Your leadership will have a direct impact on the success of our customers, the development of your team, and the overall growth trajectory of Braze. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Hire, nurture, and lead a high-performing team of commercial sales talent. • Set and execute a scalable customer acquisition, velocity, and expansion strategy across the commercial territory. • Maintain a disciplined focus on achieving numerical targets, actively managing pipeline health, conversion rates, and progress toward quarterly and annual goals. • Align go-to-market teams (BDR, Marketing, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and Leadership) to drive regional pipeline generation and present a unified vision to the market. • Coach your team through end-to-end commercial sales cycles, participate directly in critical deals, and deliver reliable, data-driven sales forecasts. • Serve as a compelling advocate for Braze in prospect, customer, and ecosystem engagements. • Balance strategic territory planning with agile, day-to-day operational execution. • Act as a proactive, collaborative contributor within the broader sales leadership organization. WHAT YOU HAVE • Minimum of 2 years of successful sales management experience leading a team of quota-carrying Account Executives in a B2B SaaS environment (commercial or mid-market experience preferred). • Proven ability to recruit, retain, inspire, and develop top-tier sales talent. • Demonstrated success driving full-lifecycle SaaS sales: outbound prospecting, rapid deal qualification, new logo acquisition, and account expansion. • Strong track record of running high-velocity, predictable sales cycles with rigorous pipeline and forecasting hygiene. • Cross-functional collaboration skills across Business Development, Marketing, Customer Success, Legal, and Sales Operations. • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills suited for mid-market and commercial decision-makers. • Solid commercial negotiation and deal-structuring skills. • Strong business acumen with the ability to engage multi-functional stakeholders across marketing, product, and technical teams. • Familiarity with modern digital, mobile, and customer engagement trends. • Prior experience selling Mobile, CRM, or Marketing Technology (MarTech) is a strong plus. • Experience scaling teams within a high-growth or startup technology environment is a plus.
