Partnership Manager - Data Partnerships

We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. Plaid’s Data Partnerships team works with financial institutions and fintech partners, and through industry bodies, to build what comes next in open finance across payments, credit, fraud prevention, and personal finance. Our goal is better products and more financial freedom for consumers. We move quickly, with security, safety, consumer control, and trust as the baseline of everything we do. We believe deep, credible partnerships with financial institutions are what power Plaid’s products and move the industry forward. We fight for consumers, we hold ourselves to a high bar of ownership, and we judge our work by results. ABOUT THE ROLE You’ll own Plaid’s relationships with a portfolio of our largest financial institution partners. You’re their primary strategic and business contact, and you’re accountable for how the relationship goes: the strategy, the execution, the integration, and what it delivers for the institution, for Plaid, and for consumers. Together with your partners, you’ll influence what consumers experience when they connect their financial lives to the apps they use, and where the industry goes from here. That means building real relationships with people at every level, from engineering teams to executives. You’ll work with Technical Leads to bring new solutions to your institutions and advocate for them inside Plaid, and with Product, Legal, Policy, Go-To-Market, and Engineering to turn what you hear into best-in-class experiences. What you learn from our largest partners feeds back into our roadmap, our policy priorities, and the standards the industry works from. We want someone who takes ownership personally. If something in your portfolio goes wrong, you’re on it before anyone asks and you stay on it until it’s fixed. You move fast, you catch the small stuff, and when one route is blocked you find another. You also care what better financial products mean for consumers. Partners should want to bring you their big ideas and their hardest problems, and the people you work with should be glad you’re on their team. RESPONSIBILITIES - Own each partnership end to end.
