• Drive regulatory and compliance readiness for global markets, including R100, FMVSS 305a, CE Marking, EURO NCAP, UL 2580, UN38.3, and emerging battery safety legislation.
• Act as the primary safety interface to vehicle, pack, manufacturing, service, and validation teams, resolving cross‑functional safety issues and ensuring timely closure of actions.
• Define and review battery safety test plans (R&D and DV), review test data, extract learnings, and rapidly cascade risks or concerns to DREs and leadership.
• Lead thermal runaway (TR) safety topics, including detection logic, post‑crash reactions, contactor and fuse responses, grounding strategies, and customer notification paths.
• Support manufacturing and service safety topics, including HV handling, storage, damaged pack response, labeling, MSDS, emergency response guides, and service manuals.

• 6–10+ years of experience in HV battery systems, functional safety, or vehicle safety engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with battery safety analyses (SFMEA, DFMEA, HARA) and requirements development.
• Working knowledge of global battery safety and vehicle regulations (R100, FMVSS, CE, NCAP, UN38.3).
• Experience using requirements or systems engineering tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, 3DX, FLOW, JAMA or similar.
• Ability to interpret test data and CAE results and convert them into clear engineering decisions.
• Proven track record of cross‑functional execution in fast‑paced product development environments.
