JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Accounting to join our growing finance team in Dallas. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and deliver accurate financial reporting. This role is crucial in supporting Shield AI’s business with timely and insightful financial information, process excellence, and a commitment to continuous improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee daily accounting operations and supervise accounting staff - Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes - Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and documentation - Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies - Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors - Maintain compliance with local, national, and international accounting standards and regulations - Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes - Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions - Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements, driving efficiency and accuracy - Collaborate with other teams, including FP&A, Tax, and Operations, on financial matters REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred) - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management or supervisory responsibilities - In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and local regulatory requirements - Strong financial reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel - Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, innovative environment - Experience in the technology or defense industry is a plus BENEFITS - Competitive salary, bonuses, and equity packages - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance - Retirement savings plan - Generous paid time off and holiday benefits - Professional growth and training opportunities - Collaborative, innovative team environment - Mission-driven company making a real-world impact Shield AI is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
